To make the most of the stunning surroundings and vista, this house hovers out over the steep site on a timber pole foundation. Getting “out of the ground” was the demanding part, but was well worth it for the beach views and having the house nestled between the tree tops. 

Building features: timber pole foundation, cedar cladding, open living area forming breezeway-like link between front and rear decks.
